Virtual Assistant

Way back in college, a simple-minded girl like me always thinks that after graduating I had already surpassed sufferings in life, and eventually will be benefiting from the fruit of my labor because it'll be easy for me to seek out employment, receive a salary, and buy anything I wanted. Yes, it’s true, I even have employment, now receiving a salary and may buy things but to not the extent of shopping for everything I wanted because I don’t have enough budget to do such.

The story of my journey

I’ve been in my job for 8 years, performing some clerical works, attending to the needs of the students, the administration, and office mates as well. Picture the scene. I’ve been doing that for 8 years, from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It isn’t boring on my behalf because I face and talk to different people a day. But it seems like I even have no personal satisfaction and no development in my life also. It’s a bit like I used to be locked up in my comfort zone.

Why do you want to become a Virtual Assistant?

A friend of mine told me about Virtual Assistant Academy. She also knew someone enrolled in that same academy and now working successfully as a freelancer. She convinced me to join with her and enroll in a Freelancing course. I decided to try because maybe this will be the start of my new career. On the first day of our Virtual Class, our Coach asked us the same question that cross my mind before enrolling, “Why do you want to become a Virtual Freelancer?” It came out all of us wanted to possess financial and time freedom, Work-life balance and to spend longer with the family. It's cliche but fact also that we only live once. We've to enjoy life while making ourselves productive. Tons of Virtual Assistants exactly have a working life like what we mentioned. They will work whenever and wherever they wanted as long as there's a laptop/computer and internet connection. They're the epitome of working while enjoying life.

The beginning of my new endeavor

The process isn’t easy. For me, I struggle a lot because this is all new, but I do know by the top of this process, a fruitful reward awaits. Let me end this with a verse from Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

I hope you can check out my portfolios and leave some comments or suggestions of ways on how I can improve my works. This may be the beginning of my new endeavor as a Freelance Virtual Assistant. :)
